What is it?

Tria Health’s STOP program is a smoking cessation program offered as a benefit through employers. Tria Health’s clinically trained pharmacists consult individually with tobacco users to develop a customized quit plan. Our proven success combines medication along with behavioral therapy to improve your odd of success.

How does it work?

Tobacco users will be required to fill out an enrollment form. Once the enrollment form is filled out, the member will be required to schedule an appointment with a Tria Health pharmacist to conduct an assessment. It is important to do this by the required deadline. During this initial assessment, the pharmacist will discuss medication options highly effective in helping people quit smoking. If this is an appropriate option, the pharmacist will coordinate getting a prescription through the member’s physician and pharmacy. The Tria Health pharmacist will develop a schedule for follow up appointments to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Is there a cost?

There is not cost to the member for the program. However, in most cases, employees who use tobacco and choose not to participate in the program will be required to pay a higher health care premium. Please refer to your specific plan for details.

What if I can't quit?

The Tria Health program is customized for each individual and combines medicine with behavioral therapy in an effort to maximize success rates. By engaging in the program and actively participating, a member can meet program requirements even if they can’t quit using tobacco. By meeting program requirements, a member will not be required to pay the penalty or health care premium established by the plan.

How long does it take?

Each program is different, but a program will not last longer than 12 months. The follow up contact schedule is established by the Tria Health pharmacist and the member at the time of the assessment and will vary by member based on their readiness to quit.
